At DevCon 2026, Systematic will contribute to the technical program through three of its engineers, sharing practical experience from projects involving complex software systems, secure environments, and infrastructure management at scale. Mihaela Gheorghe-Roman, Senior Software Architect at Systematic and Oracle ACE Associate for Java, will speak at Java & Go Con about the challenges of building a real-time collaborative editing system in a secure environment without internet access or cloud infrastructure. Drawing on a system already used in production, her session will explore the architectural decisions and engineering challenges involved in developing complex software under demanding technical constraints. At DevOps Con, Raluca Bica and Steffen Baarsgaard Poulsen, Senior Systems Engineers at Systematic, will present “Grafana Fleet Management Using Grafana-Operator.” Their session addresses the challenges of managing multiple Grafana instances across teams, Kubernetes clusters, and customers. They will explore how Grafana instances and resources - including dashboards, data sources, and alerts - can be managed declaratively as Kubernetes-native manifests, enabling GitOps workflows that keep configurations consistent, version-controlled, and aligned across environments. The session will also share practical approaches to scaling Grafana fleet management while reducing configuration sprawl and reliance on custom synchronization scripts. Together, these sessions highlight different aspects of Systematic's engineering expertise, from designing secure, real-time applications to building scalable and maintainable infrastructure. They offer DevCon participants practical insights into challenges that software and infrastructure teams encounter in real-world projects. Beyond the stage, visitors can meet the Systematic team at the company's booth, explore a live Defence product demonstration, and discover the technology behind mission-critical solutions used by defence organizations and other critical sectors worldwide. The booth experience will offer attendees an opportunity to discuss the engineering behind these products directly with the people working on them, while discovering how software development supports complex, real-world operations. Visitors can also take a coffee break with a digital twist and see mission-critical software in action. |

Six Specialized Conferences Covering the Technologies Shaping the IndustryThe 2026 edition introduces a content structure built around six specialized conferences: AI Con, Data & Cloud Con, DevOps Con, Java & Go Con, Cybersecurity Con, and DeepTech Con. This format allows participants to tailor their experience to their areas of expertise, professional challenges, and the technologies they work with every day. The first day, November 4, will focus on AI Con, Data & Cloud Con, and DevOps Con, featuring sessions on building and deploying AI-powered systems, scalable cloud infrastructure, data platforms, automation, observability, and software reliability. On November 5, the focus shifts to Java & Go Con, Cybersecurity Con, and DeepTech Con. Participants will explore modern software architectures, distributed systems, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and innovations that push beyond the traditional boundaries of software development. Through this structure, DevCon aims to bring together professionals with different backgrounds and responsibilities, from software developers and AI and data engineers to DevOps and cybersecurity specialists, software architects, and technical leaders. The six stages are designed to complement one another, encouraging participants to explore perspectives and technologies beyond their primary areas of expertise. |
